MARERGUR MCH-OPD

The MCH-OPD has been opened in June 2008 and received 1067 patients during the reporting time. Like all other SAHED MCHs and OPDs, the main diseases for visiting the MCH-OPD were respiratory infections, urinary tract infections, trauma of different nature, intestinal parasites, anaemia, eye infection, watery diarrhoea, malaria, skin diseases and dysentery etc.

The MCH-OPD is built by the support of Greta Maria Lindblom Foundation which has been supporting SAHED since the early days of starting our health care activities in Galgadud region. The MCH-OPD needs to be enlarged and 2 more rooms (delivery room and pharmacy), a water reservoir and 2 toilets added, as well as fencing wall. Therefore, we should need to get more financial assistance, so that the enlarging of the MCH-OPD and new staff recruitment could be implemented.
