MATABAN

MATAN MCH & OPD

Mataban OPD has been both under staffed and not functioning well, because of the following reasons;

1. There was only one CHW in place.

2. SAHED had no financial resources to recruit enough, qualified personnel.

3. Un-decidedness from the community side who will be employed when the opportunity comes.

4. Slow community participation and contribution.

During the reporting period, 878 patients have been attended, that is about 3 patients per day. Like all other SAHED health centres, MCHs, OPDs and health posts, the main diseases for visiting the OPD were respiratory infections, urinary tract infections, trauma of different nature, intestinal parasites, anaemia, eye infection, watery diarrhoea, malaria, skin diseases and dysentery etc.
